This year Dr Kirsty Smitten, co-founder and first CEO of MetalloBio is being honoured and remembered in a number of ways.
Dr Michael Murray (CEO) and Dr Simon Fairbanks (Lead Scientist, Chemistry) will be attending the Chair’s Reception on the eve of the main conference. Dr Murray will give a short speech about the legacy created by Dr Kirsty Smitten.
Dr Simon Fairbanks, close friend and colleague of Kirsty’s will be making a short speech and presenting the inaugural Kirsty Smitten Award on the morning of 03 October 2024 in Auditorium 1 (0950hrs to 1020hrs)
Dr Michael Murray will deliver a speech “Start-up & Innovation Culture” (1045hrs to 1115hrs) drawing on the experience of setting up MetalloBio, in the Breakthrough Zone; and will be on a panel discussing this and related topics (1200hrs to 1230hrs).
