Unveiling of Innovate UK plaque in honour of Dr Kirsty Smitten
Innovate UK has awarded 5 grants to MetalloBio all of which were won by Kirsty as CEO. Innovate UK has marked Kirsty’s stellar achievements with a plaque in her honour, to be on display in the Department of Chemistry at The University of Sheffield.
Dr Edwin Moses, a highly successful biotechnology CEO and Chairman, and an alumnus of The University of Sheffield, has sponsored an annual bursary that will be awarded to outstanding chemistry students. The Kirsty Smitten Prize will recognise high quality and groundbreaking new chemistry, continuing in the vein of Kirsty’s achievements. Professor Jim THOMAS will introduce the first of what will become an annual lecture in Kirsty’s name.
